"The National Football League released a statement Wednesday morning endorsing President Donald Trump’s First Step Act, a bill aimed at decreasing the size of America’s prison populations."
“The National Football League applauds the leadership of the President and bipartisan Members of Congress on criminal justice reform,” NFL VP of Communications Jocelyn Moore wrote in the statement. “We offer our full support for the revised First Step Act and urge passage this year.”
Of course they endorse it. Some of them will eventually end up in prison! I usually agree with Trumps' policies, but I am vehemently opposed to this one. If this is meant to curry favor with blacks, it will fail miserably AND will put so called 'non-violent' federally incarcerated drug offenders back on the streets. In my opinion there is no such thing as a 'non-violent drug offender' as the drug culture at all levels, either directly or indirectly, contributes to the out of control violence currently seen in the major cities of this country!
How quickly we have forgotten the crack plague of the 80's and 90's as well as the ultimate sacrifice made by DEA Agents KiKi Camarena and Richard Fass and so many more LEO's like them.
Hey, here's a novel way to reduce the size of Americas' prison population:
OBEY THE LAW!!!!
God help us when these so called 'non-violent' offenders are released!
